ICONIC BANG & OLUFSEN SPEAKER IN EXCLUSIVE COLLABORATION WITH ESTEEMED ARTIST JACKY TSAI

As part of an exclusive collaboration with contemporary artist Jacky Tsai, Bang & Olufsen announces a limited-edition of 10 pieces of its iconic Beosound A9 speaker.

A statement in sound and sight, this limited-edition A9 features Tsai’s signature red Floral Horse artwork, created to celebrate cultural renewal, energy and optimism for the Lunar New Year.

Tsai is known for merging Eastern symbolism with Western pop aesthetics across painting, sculpture and large-scale installations. In 2025, he became the first artist in history to fully paint an orbital rocket, expanding his exploration of scale, movement and contemporary mythology.

‘The collaboration with Bang & Olufsen is about harmony between art and sound. Just as music moves through space, my work translates cultural memory into form and colour. The Beosound A9 becomes not just a speaker but a living object—where sound, design and storytelling meet.’ – Jacky Tsai

The Floral Horse is a recurring symbol in Tsai’s work, representing vitality, movement and optimism. The vivid red palette reflects traditional associations with renewal, protection and good fortune, making the design resonate culturally while remaining bold and contemporary.

Crafted from anodised aluminium, fabric and oak, the Beosound A9 complements Tsai’s artwork with timeless design and powerful acoustic engineering. Behind its iconic circular form lie seven custom-built drivers delivering extraordinary clarity, depth and room-filling sound.

‘As one of our most recognisable designs, the Beosound A9 acts as a canvas for artistic expression,’ says David Morris, Head of Marketing at Bang & Olufsen. ‘Jacky Tsai’s dynamic visual language accentuates the A9’s sculptural identity, creating a collectible piece that merges culture, craftsmanship and storytelling.’

The Bang & Olufsen Beosound A9 Jacky Tsai limited edition speaker is exclusively available at Bang & Olufsen of Bicester Village and Bang & Olufsen of Mayfair.
