A JOURNEY TO SWEDEN, TO THE FORGES OF DAMASCUS STEEL
Louis Erard Regulator X GoS: A Masterful Fusion of Swiss Watchmaking and Swedish Forging Art
A Journey to Sweden’s Forges – The merging of two cultures, the fusion of traditional watchmaking with the ancient craft of Damascus steel forging: with the Louis Erard Regulator X GoS, two brands have created a unique masterpiece. The partnership between Louis Erard and GoS Watches was initiated in 2021 by Manuel Emch, the strategic mind behind Louis Erard’s creative revival. In Patrik Sjögren, the Swedish watchmaker and founder of GoS Watches, he found a kindred spirit with whom he shared a vision – a timepiece that unites the best of both worlds.
After three years of intense development, the result is a true work of art: the Louis Erard Regulator X GoS, limited to 178 pieces, brings together the technical precision and design of the Swiss Jura manufacture with the fascinating craftsmanship of Swedish steel forges. The highlight: for the first time, Louis Erard uses a Damascus steel dial – a material that captivates with its distinctive, almost hypnotic patterns.
Exclusive Craftsmanship and Minimalist Elegance
Each dial of the Regulator X GoS is unique. GoS Watches has developed a special treatment to enhance the contrasts of the Damascus steel, making the intricate details even more striking. The minimalist Regulator arrangement on the dial emphasizes this extraordinary material, which appears as a piece of art shaped by nature itself.
The watch seamlessly blends the signature elements of both brands. Hands, crown, and rehaut were specially designed by Louis Erard for this model. Another innovation: the salmon leather strap, a material never before used in a Louis Erard collection. Additionally, a calfskin strap with a pin buckle is included.

Snow and Steel in Perfect Harmony
Patrik Sjögren’s workshop is located in Linköping, about 200 kilometers from Stockholm. Far from the major watchmaking centers, the master watchmaker dedicates himself passionately to traditional craftsmanship. His focus is on the extraordinary use of Damascus steel, which he transforms into artistic dials in collaboration with blacksmith Conny Persson. Each individual piece is handcrafted and refined to highlight the natural grain of the steel.
This dedication to craftsmanship unites GoS with Louis Erard. Both brands share a deep connection to nature, an independent spirit, and a commitment to combining mechanical precision with artistic design.
A Tribute to the Art of Damascus Steel
Each timepiece is housed in an elegantly proportioned 39mm stainless steel case. The Damascus steel dial, forged by Conny Persson and refined by Patrik Sjögren, undergoes a special process to achieve a unique visual depth. While the overall geometry remains consistent, each pattern is one-of-a-kind, inspired by the intricate veins found in Swedish and Swiss forests.
Floating above this exceptional surface are three striking blue hands arranged in the classic Regulator configuration. The design reflects GoS’s aesthetic, from the triskelion-inspired small seconds counter at 6 o’clock to the sharply notched hour and minute tracks, both hallmarks of the brand’s design language.
The watch is presented on a unique salmon leather strap – a tribute to GoS’s Nordic origins, nestled between the Baltic and North Seas.
The Louis Erard Regulator X GoS is limited to just 178 pieces – a number rich in symbolism, representing “stronger together.” Never has this motto been more fitting than in the collaboration between Louis Erard and GoS.
