Montblanc Presents Fall/Winter 2026 Leather Collections During Milan Fashion Week

Montblanc previewed its Fall/Winter 2026 leather collections during a Milan Fashion Week breakfast at Salone dei Tessuti.

Joined by the likes of Emma Roberts, Jamie Campbell Bower, and notable Montblanc brand ambassadors Zinedine Zidane and Waris Ahluwalia, guests were welcomed to a curated experience that continues Montblanc’s exploration of the journey, a narrative that captures travel as both a physical and poetic metaphor. Rooted in the cinematic universe of filmmaker Wes Anderson’s “Let’s Write” short film, the theme reflects Montblanc’s belief that writing has the power to become a transformative journey.

The narrative of the journey acts as a nod to Montblanc’s heritage of creating innovative products to accompany travelers for 120 years. Across the showroom, the concept was brought to life through a series of stations, each offering a different perspective on craftsmanship, creativity and design. Together, they formed a landscape that bridges Montblanc’s heritage with its contemporary vision, inspired by cultures near and far. Throughout the venue, a series of train cars formed the architectural backbone of the experience, directly evoking the cinematic train voyage introduced in the Wes Anderson-directed short film. Here, the train becomes a recurring motif for creative departure: each train car is a moment along the journey, each stop an opportunity for discovery.

At the heart of the venue stood the Montblanc Desk, the emblematic installation introduced by Artistic Director Marco Tomasetta that has become a central expression of the Maison’s creative philosophy. More than a functional object, the desk is presented as the origin point of ideas where many creative and literary journeys begin, and where writing becomes an act of self-expression.

The Montblanc Desk was set beneath Montblanc’s Tree of Writing, now reimagined as a symbolic wishing tree. Guests were also invited to compose a personal message penned by a calligrapher, reinforcing Montblanc’s belief in writing as a universal gesture that transcends languages and cultures.

NEW SEASON LEATHER NOVELTIES

For its Fall/Winter 2026 leather collections, Montblanc placed soft finishes and constructions at the forefront, expressed in a warm colour palette defined by red-brown tones such as ebony, bauxite, red oak, and honey. The Fall/Winter 2026 leather highlights on display included:

EXPANDED WRITING TRAVELER LINE:

Montblanc’s new signature line continues to evolve with the Writing Traveler Briefcase at its centre, reimagined this season in grain leather after its first appearance in corteccia sfumato leather in Fall/Winter 2025. This hero shape was accompanied by new portable designs such as the Crossbody, which features dedicated laptop and cable slots, the Mini Crossbody, and the Clutch Document Holder, which can be effortlessly worn under arm or carried by hand.

Drawing inspiration from a “cabinet of curiosities” that combines the concept of the desk with leather craftsmanship, the Writing Traveler was envisioned by Marco Tomasetta to hold a creative traveler’s tools close at hand by offering smart dedicated storage slots for writing instruments, notebooks, small leather goods, and other daily essentials such as watches.

A SOFT TAKE ON THE EXTREME PATTERN:

Montblanc’s distinctive Extreme pattern gets reimagined in smooth calfskin leather, bringing softness to the line’s well-known functionalities while introducing new shapes, such as a soft construction Backpack and Weekender, bringing added comfort for use on the move.

NEW LIGHT SHAPES:

First introduced as part of the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, Montblanc’s technical fabric is brought back on a series of luxuriously light and soft travel companions. These include the new Panorama Backpack, Crossbody and Belt Bag, presented in the season’s honey and bauxite colours. The travel-friendly pieces feature contrasting leather detailing for an elevated finish.

ART OF THE DESK:

Montblanc continues to expand its Art of the Desk assortment, exploring how the modern workspace can be transformed into an expression of personal style. This season, the Art of the Desk brings together stationery, desk objects and writing accessories in the new warm colours, as seen on the Medium Notes Holder in honey-toned suede, and in bold forms, such as the Arpeggio Tray. Notebooks featuring an archive-inspired special edition cover and an assortment of coffrets crafted to house writing instruments and accessories round out the novelties.
