INTRODUCING A NEW JIMMY CHOO ICON – THE ELIOT SLIPPER

Crossing cultural and gender divides – refinement meets rebellion, fusing establishment with counter- cultural style. A new Jimmy Choo classic, the ELIOT slipper draws on beloved heritage styles, reinvented with a new attitude.

“Easy and iconic, the ELIOT is our new Jimmy Choo silhouette. For me, this shoe has to translate attitude and display personal style – that’s what makes this iconic shape come alive. There’s a feel of nostalgia, of retro, and of those references we all know and love – from 1970s rockers, through to 2000s “it-girls” who renewed the original style muses of the 60s and 70s – but taken somewhere that feels right again. It’s quintessentially Jimmy Choo in the refinement of craft, with consideration on the “make” for today. I believe this is a style that can be totally transformed by the person who wears it. I am excited to see how each and every one will infuse their individuality with these shoes.” Sandra Choi, Creative Director

Eliot is a name that epitomises its origin story, and also its modern spirit: referencing the English author Mary Ann Evans who wrote under the pen name George Eliot, it is drawn from history but reengineered for today and offered for men and women alike.

While the slipper is rooted in the refined richness of 19th century aristocratic England – by the 1960s, it was adopted by The Mods, whose sartorial sharpness was a sign of sleek rebellion.

The slipper has long been a Jimmy Choo classic, for all genders – THE SLIDE, introduced in 1999 and reissued in 2025 – reflects the low silhouette and squared-off toe. Launched in 2013, the FOXLEY – a tasselled slipper that has become a red-carpet staple – remains a key men’s style. The ELIOT reinvents this silhouette, using the shape as a canvas for different explorations of embellishment and material. ELIOT is light and refined; proposed both paper-flat, and with a 45mm stacked heel, for men and women alike. Textiles and treatments are shared – the flat features a collapsible back, allowing it to be styled as a mule.

Exemplary of Jimmy Choo’s shoemaking expertise, the Eliot Slipper is produced in Italy by skilled artisans working at a specialist men’s factory utilising traditional construction techniques. Inside, championing the comfort synonymous with a slipper, the Nappa footbed features soft foam while soles are leather to allow maximum flexibility.

The ELIOT is presented in a spectrum of different fabrics and finishes – studded with metal eyelets on black Nappa, in pure vegetable-tanned black buffalo leather, in leopard printed pony or in sambuco- coloured glossy croc-embossed patent. There is also a suede style with exaggerated tassel, each completely handmade in Florence.

A new proposition for the Jimmy Choo woman and man, the ELIOT is characterised by freedom, authenticity, a nod to heritage but an eye on the future. It proves how attitude and style can evolve, effortlessly.
