For Spring/Summer 2026, ROKSANDA draws inspiration from the work of renowned modernist sculptor Barbara Hepworth. The artist’s exploration of form, space, and materiality, where nature-inspired shapes are reimagined with a modern sensibility and emotional depth.
Garments are deconstructed using techniques of slashing, folding, and reduction, echoing Hepworth’s iconic cut outs and her engagement with negative space. Texture plays a central role, with laser cut bonded velvet, raw raffia, and fil coupé forming architectural silhouettes, as the industrial harmonises with the organic. The collection’s final pieces offer a tactile richness that underscores the interplay between structure and softness. Delicate wirework, evocative of Hepworth’s sculptural motifs, appears as fine detailing, contrasting strength with femininity and tension with grace.
Tailoring and outerwear continue to evolve with architectural precision. Modular trench coats
in mélange textured silk wool are designed with removable collars and fluid back vents. A cocoon coat in black zibeline features an exaggerated collar that wraps protectively around the body.
Prints are inspired by the river and the four stages of evolving nature surrounding The Hepworth Wakefield Gallery, which houses a substantial permanent collection of the artist’s work. Silk organza is printed and layered into voluminous dresses with architectural crinoline understructures, while hand painted brushstroke motifs on silk satin appear across parachute silhouettes and utilitarian shirting. Unexpected colour pairings such as Azure and Cassis, Cinnamon and Venetian Red reaffirm ROKSANDA’s commitment to colour as a deeply emotive language.
In celebration of the brand’s 20th anniversary, iconic silhouettes are reimagined. The MARGOT dress from Spring/Summer 2012 is revived in bold orange and lapis blue bonded duchesse satin.
The ANYA dress from Spring/Summer 2016 and the CATALINE dress from Autumn/Winter 2022 return in painterly prints and new colourways, honouring ROKSANDA’s evolving design language. Set within the ballroom of The Chancery Rosewood, ROKSANDA marks the 20th anniversary of her first on schedule show while honouring Hepworth’s enduring legacy as both artist and inspiration.
